1961.
It was alot of work, but she turned out great, 4 years after I bought her from a car dealer in Illinois! He had painted this box all a rust color----even the rails and clasps in the back. I stripped and repainted or shined this entire machine, it seems. Did not need much in the way of mechanical tinkering but the grill was hell to find. This is a Continental (not 2) grill with the ever popular star. The grill I had was dented but I had the star for 3 years---waiting to find a grill. Finally one came up on eBay in Placerville, CA which is not far from where I live. Eureka! Thanks, James! And thanks to Zuddie for all his help by phone.
By the way, the mech shroud is a custom job and I will share the how with anyone who cares to know.
