Descriptions of the 2006 daily events: Pre-Test | Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Final Results 2006 Master National Dogs and Series completed Another successful event was held. After 4 days of tests, 8 of the 23 dogs entered qualified. Everyone agreed that the tests were very stimulating, extremely resourceful and very fair. The grounds were wonderful and the organizing committee did a superb job of hosting the event. A very sincere and extremely large "thank you" to all the sponsors and Friends of the Canadian Master National who donated so generously to the raffle and auction table. Without the support of our sponsors, we would not have been able to host this event. Next year we expect a much larger entry as it will be a CKC sanctioned event. 2006 Entry Qualifications: (any one of the following qualifies the dog to enter the Canadian Master National Hunt Test)
2005 CANADIAN MASTER NATIONAL HUNT TEST A HUGE SUCCESS!! 2006 2nd Master National Hunt Test - South Western Ontario !! 2007 PENDING CKC APPROVAL …On a duck wing and a prayer, organizers of the first Canadian Master National Hunt Test did it!! After months, even years, of planning, a small group of retriever enthusiasts held the first Canadian National stake aimed at testing the abilities of their hunting retrievers. And, by all accounts, it was a resounding success. Of the 28 dogs that started, 13 qualified, having completed all series of the complex MH tests held throughout the week. The three experienced judges designed tests that required marking, control, and enthusiasm; handlers even faced a live flush that had more than one a little nervous! With all skepticism gone about the viability of a Canadian Master National Hunt Test, committee members are moving forward. Their first step is to set the wheels in motion for CKC approval of the event for 2007. Look for upcoming information on this. Their next step is to get ready for the second Master National hosted by the South Western Ontario Retriever Training Club from August 30 to September 4, 2006. Bigger, better – plan now to attend!! |
