SEMINARS AND CONFERENCES ATTENDED

        During the last year, the faculty member have actively participated in different seminars and workshops, and also presented paper in the same. To name a few:

        Ms. Srita Bhol, Asst. Professor participated in workshop on “Promoting Fair Trade” organized by International Resources for Fairer Trade (IRFT), Mumbai and Traidcraft, UK at Hyderabad in November 2006.

        Ms. Bhol also attended the Alumni Meet of Liberal Democrats at Mumbai in September 2006 organized by FNF-South Asia, New Delhi.

       Dr. Niharika Gaan, Asst. Professor and Ms. Tulika Singh, Sr. Lecturer  participated in a seminar on “HR Challenges and Opportunities” organized by Srusti Academy of Management, Bhubaneswar and sponsored by AICTE on 13th and 14th January 2007, and presented a paper titled “HR Challenges in Brave New World”.

       A paper titled “Teaching Cross Culture and Inter-disciplinary Work in Change Management Course: An Empirical study” of Dr. Gaan was published in the proceedings of AIMS Conference held from 28th to 30th December, 2006 organized by IIM, Indore.

       She also participated in a conference named “PATHH” organized by St. Francis Institute of Research and Development at Mumbai on 2nd and 3rd March 2007 and presented a paper titled “Managing Cultural Diversity: Suggested Theoretical Frame-work towards HR Practices”. This paper was adjudged as the best research paper by the jury

        Her Paper on Revisit on Impact of Job Attitudes on Employee Turnover: An Empirical Study in the Indian IT Industry has been accepted by the University of TSUKUVA for presentation in International Conference on Business and Information in Japan from 11th to 13th July 2007

         Ms. Tulika Singh, Sr. Lecturer and Mr. B. P. Chhatoi, Lecturer participated in a workshop on “Forecasting Techniques of Marketing” at OUAT, Bhubaneswar on 23rd and 24th October 2006.

          Mr. B. P. Chhatoi, Lecturer and Mr. S. K. Patra, Asst. Professor participated in a Faculty Development Program on “Case Development” organized by IBCS, Bhubaneswar on 16th and 17th September 2006.

        Mr. B.P. Chhatoi, Lecturer also attended a Management Development Program on “Stress Management” organized by IBCS, Bhubaneswar on 20th and 21st January 2007.

        Mr. S. K. Patra, Asst. Professor participated in a Faculty Development Program organized by Academy of Management Studies, Bhubaneswar and sponsored by AICTE on 12th June 2006.

         A paper titled “Key Drivers of Supply Chain Management” of Mr. Patra was published in the National Seminar proceedings named “Globalization and Social Development” organized by RIMS School of Management, Rourkela.

         Mr. Patra also developed Learning Modules on Managerial Economics for the Distant Education Program of the Sambalpur University.

         Ms. Pinku Paul, Lecturer and Mr. B.P. Chhatoi, Lecturer participated in a state-level seminar on “Relevance of Fundamental Analysis in Present Day Investment” organized by Vivekananda Institute of Social Work and Social Sciences, Bhubaneswar on 3rd February 2007.

         For the National Seminar on “Corporate Re-incarnation: Reaching New Horizons” organized by RIMS School of Management, Rourkela, on February 2006, of Ms. Pinku Paul's paper titled “Growth of Indian Banking Industries: The Inorganic Way” was published.

         Another paper tilted “Entrepreneurship Development” of Ms. Paul was published in the proceedings of 9th Annual Convention of ISTE Orissa Section and National Seminar on “Towards Excellence in Technical Education in the context of Globalization” organized by “College of Engineering and Technology” on 3rd February 2007.

          A training program on “Managing Change” was successfully conducted by Dr. Chitta R. Samant, Principal and Dr. Niharika Gaan, Asst. Professor at NALCO, Damanjodi on 26th and 27th February 2007. This was an interactive event with 30 Senior Executives Engineers belonging to different departments.
