Have Magic, Will Travel!

Tom and Beowulf hit the road running in ’07, racking up over 15K on the ol’ odometer!

The Books Are A Blast show was checked out at 22 libraries in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, including the 8th straight year at the Greenwood Library Summer Reading Finale!

Continuing their education, the guys headed off to school: nursery at Clarlen and RUMS; elementary at West Chester and Cathedral; middle at General John Sticker; and a field party at Towson University!

Extra-curricular? How about the Math Magicians of Perry Hall Elementary, a ‘Welcome Class of 2011’ street party at Bucknell University, and an After-Prom Bash that lasted until 3A?!

In their spare time, the guys attended Christening luncheons, First Communion celebrations, and a Bar Mitzvah party! Time flies when you’re makin’ magic!

Then Tom and Beowulf got to twist balloons for the Graul’s Markets’ Fight Cancer Day, a number of Relay for Life events, and the Leesburg Light the Night walk for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

And the guys didn’t even need a wardrobe change when they twisted at the Big Kahuna Cantina fundraiser for the JHU Children’s Hospital.

They caught up with old friends at the Very Special Arts Day, Ladew Topiary Gardens, Elioak Petting Farm, Marlborough Day, and Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival.

And the boys made new ones at the Recreation Explosion in Druid Hill, the Corcoran Gallery in D.C., Jazz & Blues Festival in Federal Hill, and Hagerstown Housing Authority’s Back to School Parties.

So check your rearview mirror: that white van just might be the Magico!

Beowulf T. Wonderbunny’s

Travelling Show of  Mystery

Beowulf spent 2007 staying in shape and partying till the bunnies came home!

Not only did he attend the National’s Opening Day game and a few others, but Beowulf was there for the last MLB game to be played in RFK! FDR was AWOL!

After helping to open the skating season at the Mimi Dome in Patterson Park, Beowulf was back in the spring for the Fishing Rodeo at the pond.

He stopped by to coach the PeeWee Preakness jockeys up on Federal Hill and then was off to the Preakness Frog Hop at War Memorial Plaza to lend advice before sprinting off to a Kentucky Derby party. Is that a Triple Crown?

And Beowulf did polar bear patrol at a Washington Capitals game at the MCI Center. Seems there was a problem with seals…

The holidays? Easter meant visits to the Bay Country Moose Lodge Easter Egg Hunt, Reston Town Center Bunny Breakfast, Druid Hill Park on a not eggsactly spring day, and Breakfast with the Big Guy himself on the Avenue at White Marsh.

After catching the 4th of July fireworks on Kent Island for the Queen Anne’s County Parks & Rec, Beowulf helped Tom get his costume together for a Spooktacular in North Codorus, Pennsylvania, Scarecrow Madness in Annapolis, and Trick-or-Treating at the Manassas Mall.

And yes, that was Tom at the Columbus Day Parade in Baltimore. Who knew he could walk and juggle at the same time?

December kicked off as the Monumental Occasion in Mount Vernon lit up the sky and then moved on to Breakfast with Santa at Red Brick Station and the Winter Wonderland at City Hall before the boys headed to the Mall in Columbia and Santastic! Rumor has it that Tom failed the naughty/nice test!

Hey: did we leave out the Kids’ Clubs that took Beo round the beltway to Towson Town Center, the Mall in Columbia, Owings Mills Mall, and White Marsh Mall? Not to mention a hop over to the Capital Beltway for stops at Dulles Town Center and Springfield Mall! Talk about shop till you drop!

And what about Kids Night at Damons Grill? Over 30 nights of balloon twisting fun in the clubhouse! Cartoons, balloons, and ice cream!

Oh, and the weirdest job of the year? Had to be twisting balloons in the back of stretch limo as it cruised Baltimore for a thirty-year-old lady’s birthday bash!

Now be sure to check out the upcoming dates listings, and catch ‘em if ya can!
